  • Day 1

    In the morning …

    We recommend that upon arrival in Cusco you drink a cup of coca leaf tea and rest in the comfortable and beautiful garden area of your hotel, while your body gets used to the altitude of the City of Cusco.

    In the afternoon …

    You will be introduced to the guides that will come along on your journey and learn about the different places you will visit in next few days.

  • Day 2

    In the morning …

    With your spiritual guide, you will start visiting all the most emblematic and sacred temples that surround the City of Cusco.

    Sacsaywaman – Royal temple dedicated to the Sun God, Inti.

    Q’enqo – Temple for public ceremonies

    Puca Pucara – Red fortress

    Tambomachay – Temple dedicated to water

    You will learn about the symbolism and hidden knowledge surrounding these temples at a slow pace so that your body may continue to adapt to the altitude.

    In the afternoon …

    You will have free time to explore the City of Cusco and its beautiful, cobbled streets, markets and plazas. Don’t forget to try some local food like alpaca steak, quinoa risotto or a simple but delicious caldo de gallina. And if you can find it, enjoy a cup of the traditional café pasado.

  • Day 3

    All day …

    Today you will visit the sacred space of PUMAMARCA – an ancestral temple where different ceremonies to different gods took place. You will have the opportunity to have a spiritual cleanse with Ruda, Retama and Romero (Rosemary) in the same way as our ancestors used to cleanse in the past. The 3 Rs help chase away evil spirits.

    Today you will participate in sacred ceremonies at water fountains and natural springs (where the energy is pure). These ceremonies are enhanced if they are performed by a shaman and with ancestral sounds.

    You must remember that water is medicine and our ancestors treated it as such. You must learn how to connect with it from a different perspective and how to bless it before drinking it and showering with it in order to be able to use its medicinal power and help grow our own vital energy.

  • Day 4

    All day …

    Today you will tour the Sacred Valley of the Incas, which will start with a visit to the sacred space called Pisac Inca. Pisac is composed of an urban area, altars, temples, agricultural terraces and liturgical fountains. Here you will salute and meditate in this sacred space.

    The journey will continue to the City of Urubamba where we will stop to enjoy a buffet style, natural Andean lunch at a restaurant.

    You will also visit the enigmatic citadel of Ollantaytambo where you will find a sacred area, the temple to the Sun and water fountains.

    By late afternoon, you will board the legendary Expedition train for a 2-hour ride to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will sleep at the hotel and have a well-deserved rest period prior to an early wake up before the ascending to the sacred mountain of Machu Picchu.

  • Day 5

    Early in the morning ….

    You will board a modern bus for a 25-minute drive up a windy road to the Citadel of Machu Picchu. Your mystical guide will be waiting for you to guide the tour of all the important sectors: Temple of the Sun, Temple of the 3 Windows, Temple of Viracocha (the supreme God of the Andean culture), the Aqllawasi or House of the High Priests, witches and prophets and the Sacred Rock. This part of the tour is approximately 2 hours long.

    You will participate in a salutation ritual to the apus Machu Picchu, Huayna Picchu and Putucusi, all guardian spirits of the mountains.

    You will have free time to enjoy the wonderful energy of this place, to walk around and meditate.

    By afternoon …

    You will return to the town of Aguas Calientes.

  • Day 6

    In the morning …

    Breakfast. You will board the train back to Ollantaytambo for the same 2-hour train ride along the river. There you will continue the journey towards the town of Chinchero, one of the most important Incan towns of the region where you can still see remains of its grandiose past.

    There, you will find a church that was build using the stones of Manco Inca’s palace as a foundation. The population of this village is the most traditional of the Sacred Valley. This village is known for its typical market fair where farmers of the surrounding areas attend in their traditional attires.

    In the afternoon …

    You will then enjoy a buffet-style lunch at a restaurant and the drive back to the City of Cusco where you will be dropped off at your hotel to enjoy some free time, prior to gathering one last time to share the group’s experiences during the journey.
